Funny how one allowed himself to forget about pocket money. The morning rush spoke for itself. End result was the successful consumption of two plates of muslim rice (fried chicken patty, vegetables and onion rings) in between morn and afternoon. The stall holder took pity on me and gave me free food in exchange of Dest's four dollars. Ironic. Does that mean I owe you nothing Dest? Humpf.
I'll never let myself starve for no reason.
In regards of the morning rush, I made it to the assembly queue just in time. That wasn't something worth rejoicing over as I realised the GP presentation notes were STILL hideously tucked inside my folder, yet to be printed on transparencies. My anxiety was justified by the fact that the lesson happened to be the first in line for the day. It was seriously aggravated by the petite actions of the photostating lady. There she was floating about warming up the machines - in sub-human speeds comparable to that of the elderly. In fact, she might be slower than them. That wasn't the time for her to take her own sweet time but obviously nobody told her she had to quicken her steps. Had to rush all the way up to the fourth floor only to find the entire class without Mrs Scowcroft. Phew.
A sense of deja vu just overwhelmed me. It seemed to me that I had written the above paragraph before. Where? When? There is no answer. But this time I'll remember the next time I happen to dwell upon the same stuff.
The presentation wasn't that of a success. Not a failure either. At least the transparencies got her mesmerised for as long as it lasted. I admire Slim's ad-libbing skills. Cheers for our undisputed champ of the crappers! Other contenders such as Dest and Pizzaz are equally on par. I'll be contended if I happen to possess a quarter of their skills. Academically as well, I must say.
I nearly died on the whiteboard with a computing question stuck in my heart. After months of allowing information to flow through my left ear and out of the right, I guessed it's inevitable that I know nothing about anything that remotely resembled lecture notes. Had to flip through the notes several times before attempting to copy wholesale the chuck of algorithm for inserting into a queue. Shucks. Imagine attending college with a blank mind everyday.
The first time I actually played Captain's Ball so enthusiastically. It was by all means entertaining. Pity the back slam didn't connect, else it would have been a more enjoyable experience. What am I saying. Let's play ball every week!
Mr. Joe Lim isn't a martinet after all. Thank god I trimmed my hair to considerable lengths (I'm just being paranoid).
