I was jotting down notes in the midst of the sermon this morning... and it just dawned on me.

Thank You... for walking the earth... for me.

It's been something that I've been trying to comprehend the past few weeks... as to how God the Almighty (El Shadday), the Mighty Creator (Elohim) would compress His fullness (pleroma) into bodily flesh to walk the earth and go through all the things that He didn't have to go through.

I had the privilege of catching up with a brother who's still seeking... and amidst the lengthy discussion over dinner (we ended up talking for three hours), I realised how He's used it to convict me of my own convictions.

And how true it is (as Matt iterated in service yesterday)... that it's only when we see the depth of our SIN... that we may catch a glimpse of the depth... of His love... His agape (unconditional) love.

I saw the depths of my sins.

I am continually in the process of understanding the depth of His love that unfolds day after day as I know more and more.

It is impossible for the individual to fathom love unless he or she embraces Jesus Christ. The religions of the world... even charitable organisations... they fall short... because at best the level of love remains at phileo, and in the worst cases, eros.

God is love.

Demonstrated on the cross.

Agape.
