I'm in the midst of restarting 'Project' FriendMark... concept's the same, but this time round, beyond the celebration of friendship, it's going to be for better causes as well. And it's going to be incorporated into galvs.net. For a sneak peak, check out the FriendMark section. I've put some of the old FriendMarks in place.
It'll take some time before new submissions are accepted... I hope to complete updating the old ones first and work out a good submission system. Taking into consideration family time, work and studies, I do hope I'll be able to have the time to do so.
It's refreshing reading the encouragement notes people write to others... it brought to me a little of that 'warmth' in my heart this morning, something that has been rarely felt these days. The same feeling came again in the afternoon when I had a chat with a colleague regarding a student, who has been putting in efforts in spite of the cards that are dealt against him.
I'm reminded again how God sees each and everyone of us... our sins, our flaws, our achievements, our accolades... stripping them all apart anyways, and loving us for who we are in Him.
How can we ever thank God enough? (: (:

It is FREE OF CHARGE to have a FriendMark created; simply follow the instructions below to submit the details and photo. You can then point your friend to the web address to view his or her FriendMark and email him/her a soft copy of it as a keepsake.
A high resolution copy of the FriendMark is available for your purchase at a very low cost of S$2 (USD 2 for those residing outside Singapore & Malaysia) if you wish to have the FriendMark printed for your friend. Otherwise, creating the FriendMark itself is absolutely FREE.
Use an existing digital photo of your friend, take a new one, or scan in a hard copy. Just make sure that the quality is high enough, espeically if you wish to have a printed copy! A photo of good resolution (300dpi) should range from 1mb - 3mb in size. If you wish for him/her to be prominent on the FriendMark, then you'll have to submit a photo that he/she is prominent in! Include more than one photo (one with you and your friend) and Galvs may decide to do a little montage! (:
Take some time to think of the message you'll like to see appear on the FriendMark - 50 words thereabout. For those who've got a story to tell about the friendship, you may be glad to know that Galvs is more than willing to publish it here - separate from the FriendMark though!
Email to galvs.friendmark@gmail.com the following:
- the photo/s
- the message (50 words thereabout)
- Sender's name to appear on FriendMark (ie From XXX...)
- Recipient's name to appear on FriendMark (ie To XXX...)
- (optional) Extended version of the note or a full length appreciation for your friend, which will be published on this site together with the FriendMark
- (optional) If you wish to have the high resolution softcopy, please indicate in your email
