Galvs is actually the shortened form of my English name. People call me in varied ways - Gal (which I obviously not prefer), Galv... I like Galvs best as it has my surname's initial in it and it sounds a little more unique (though a search on the net proves otherwise).

I've been keeping an online journal since 1999 - the first version was named "Narcolepsy", after a song of one of my then favourite bands. Then it became "Canned City", where I started creating a better looking design in 2000 or so. Sad thing is that I've lost most of the entries...

It finally bacame just "Galvin" in 2003, housed under a rather controversial web address - galvin.worshipsingapore.com. The shortened form came to be in 2008 upon the registration of galvs.net... and it should stay as such for a long while. Many thanks to Different Host for hosting the site for the past many years!

This is my personal blog... I write as my real self my thoughts and journey, sharing whatever I think and feel that's worth sharing. I write songs from time to time... and this serves as a platform for me to share them as well. Summarize who you are in about hundred words, Galvs.

Galvs... is someone who wishes that he doesn't have to grow up so soon. Life's circumstances dictate otherwise for him, and he's forced to grow up in certain areas earlier than his peers. Generally quiet and private in person... but oddly open in his writings.

His melancholy and pessimistic view of things have been graciously balanced out by God's love and leading in his life, the knowledge of Whom he feels as the greatest thing that has ever happened in his life as he turned 19 in 2001.

He knows he's not his own. He now seeks to live and write... to testify His love. (105 words)

Whatever happened to the entries with references to external texts, lyrics, songs, videos...? Why are they gone?

In a bid to keep the website clear of copyrighted materials, I have unpublished a huge bulk of past entries for review... and will be republishing those that are copyright free in time to come.
